为激发大连市民和广大青少年学习英语的热情，推动大连“两先区”“三个中心”建设，奋力当好新时代东北振兴“跳高队”，发掘更多外语人才,我市特举办大连市第二十七届“枫叶杯”英语演讲比赛。东北财经大学初赛由国际商务外语学院主办。现将相关事宜通知如下：

一、参赛对象

我校全体在校全日制本科生。曾在英语国家连续生活两年以上者不符合参赛条件；历届“枫叶杯”英语演讲比赛的金奖或特等奖获得者，不得报名参加原获奖组别的比赛。

二、初赛时间地点

时间：2024年4月28日14：00

地点：劝学楼147

三、比赛形式

从下列演讲题目中自选一题准备，脱稿演讲3至4分钟，无现场问答环节。

1. Building a united global community, this vision is both ambitious and rooted in history, requiring the tireless efforts of several generations.

2. This year marks the 11th anniversary since the proposal of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. The construction of the initiative has been steadily progressing each year, building bridges between the East and the West, and providing abundant opportunities for all parties involved.

3. We all have a powerful potential and the courage to change old ideas and practices. As a youth in a new era, how are you going to apply your potential and courage?
